News about the rift between director Murugadoss and Gajini’s producer Chandrasekar made it to the headlines some time ago. It is said that Murugadoss promised the producer that he would direct another film for him as Gajini’s budget far exceeded its limit. But he was unable to stick to his word and as a result the rift between the two widened. To make matters worse, the produceralleged that Murugadoss threatened him with dire consequences. He also lodged a complaint at the police station. And promptly the director filed a petition in the Madras High Court that the allegations made in the police complaint was false. When this issue came up for hearing, Justice Jayapal passed an interim stay on police investigation. Let’s hope this issue is resolved soon.
