Taare zameen par Review

Come to think of it, after two back to back hits like Rang de Basanti and Fanna ,Aamir khan could not have given a positive nod to any Masala flick and chosen to work with anyone he desired. But he preferred to make a film on a dyslexic kid.

On the whole Taare Zameen Par isn’t one of those films that merely entertains, but also enlightens. This film will have a peep into the life’s of kids their problems in childhood and how they must be dealt at that situation.

Taare Zammen Par drives home a strong message ,making you sympathizes with the kid ,compelling you to draw parallels with your life, making one to realize that some of the renowned geniuses were once scoffed at ,but the world had to bow down to their intellect latter.,

This film captures the emotions of a child in the camera. Also lets also clear the myth abot this film being a kiddy film. It’s about the children but not the difference

Plot:

Ishaan Awasthi [Darsheel Safary] is an eight year old whose world is filled with wonders that no one else seems to appreciate; colors, fish, dogs, and kites. He thinks that this is the world and loves to be part of it. But he ever concentrates on his academics and his class room behavior.

When he gets into far more trouble than his parents can handle, he is packed off to a boarding school to become a disciplined kid. He gets into trauma of separation from his parents.

One day a new teacher burst into the scene. His name is Ram Shanker Nikumbh[Aamir Khan] who infects the students with joy and optimism. He breaks all the rules of how things are done by asking them to think, dream, imagine and all the children respond with enthusiasm except Ishaan.

Nikumbh realizes the problem of Ishaan and discovers the reason for his unhappiness.

On the face value TZP looks like a kiddies film, but as the story unfolds the real story erupts and peeps into the mind and heart of a kid, his interests ,his hobbies, his strengths and weakness.

A number of sequences in the first hour leave the audience spell bound.-

* Ishaan’s altercation with the neighboring kid over a cricket ball
* Ishaan’s parents decision to put him in a hostel
* Ishaan going into a shell of the boarding school, looking disinterested in life and the teacher punishing him.
There are many heart touching scenes in the first hour. And the bonding between the mother and son is well shown.

These moments effectively capture the special bonding, making the audience realize that a mother mere touch can act as a soothing balm on a troubled soul.

The second hour is equally challenging and most motivating. But the bst part is the penultimate part of the art competition scene which is about 20 minutes in length. the emotions in this 20 minutes reach all time high an the kid gains confidence .

Performances:

As usual and much more too, Aamir deserves the credit as a director and the actor in this film and has justified both parallely. His daring subject in this commericial world is truly applaudable. Cinematography is mesmerizing. Shanker and ehsaan has done a good job in the music departments.

The whole film revolves around master darsheel who played the character of Ishaan with ease and lively ness.

On the whole, Taare Zameen Par is an outstanding work of cinema. To miss it would be sacrilege. It has everything it takes to win awards and box office rewards.

But every child must and should take his parents to this film as it conveys a message to every parent and may change their way of thinking
