Evano Oruvan directed by Nishikant Kamat and produced by Madhavan for Leucas films has set off some kind of awakening among people. A debate was organized by producers Pyramid Saimira along with Sun TV in Kamaraj memorial hall recently. The topic of debate was "Is it an individual's anger or the society's anger which had triggered Evano Oruvan". The two teams analyzed the reasons very exhaustively and the judge for the debate Sathyaraj rendered a very interesting verdict. He said, "It is an encouraging sign that a film has been discussed in such a detailed manner. Maddy has given a performance equal to that of Marlon Brando. It is more important here to say that the film has won rather than to say which team has won in this debate. The actors have won and the director and the producers have won here. This is the right verdict."
Director cum actor Seeman and Maddy also spoke on the occasion. When Maddy spoke he said, "Initially I was skeptical about taking a film sans action and song sequences. But looking at the support and encouragement that we have been getting from all the quarters, we are motivated further to deliver movies of the genre of Evano Oruvan".
