New Year is common for all for that gives us a fresh feel to start new works and that goes well with filmy-units. Now we have around 6 Malayalam ready to fly out of cans for this January, but one thing that haunts Mollywood is superstitions. There is a bounding superstitious belief among Mollywood filmmakers that the movies released during first January would be a sure flop.
The movies ready for January releases are Shaji Kailas’ Suresh Gopi-starrer Sound of Boot, Jayaraj’s youthful Of the People, Thulaseedas’ College Kumaran with Mohanlal in title role, Renji Panicker’s Mammootty-starrer Rowdram and East Coast Vijayan’s debut film, the Jayaram-Sada starrer Novel. Now we have to wait and see which filmmaker does break the superstitious beliefs and goes for first releasing their movie.
