Songs status of Aegan

Aegan, the Ajith Kumar starrer directed by Raju Sundaram with Nayanthara as Ajith’s screen partner is getting shaped up at a steady pace. According to insiders, the film is sure to be liked by everyone as it has romance, action and sentiments in right proportions. Songs in Indian films are very pivotal to their success and in Aegan too, there is no dearth of them.

There are totally five songs which are being penned by Paa. Vijay, Yuga Bharathi, Naa.Muthukumar, Kapilan and Snehan. Music is being composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja and out of the five songs, two are ready with its music. The remaining songs are also being readied one by one. Industry sources reveal that music is shaping up very well and is sure to be liked by one and all.

Choreographer Raju Sundaram is donning the director’s cap with his forthcoming film Aegan produced by Ayngaran International. Speaking about his first directorial venture, Raju spilled the beans about Ajith’s bearded look. “His character in the film is of a violent police officer capable of completing the task entrusted to him and required a beard for the tough look,” he said. “It is also something very different from the rest of his films,” said Raju.

The film was shot in Hong Kong, which is another initiative, for 15 days. Apart from this, plans are on to film song sequences in England, Australia and New Zealand. One of the fights has been filmed with the help of Jackie Chan’s stunt master. Nayanthara will share the screen space once again with Ajith and the other stars involved in Aegan include Suhasini Mani Rathnam, Sriman, Nasser and Suman.

Ajiths next project with confirmed heroine

Aegan is the next upcoming film of Ajith after Billa being directed by Raju Sundaram. For the role of heroine, producers Ayngaran International have approached Nayanthara and there seems to be favourable response from her side. After their successful combination in Billa, this pair is considered very hot and happening in Kollywood and Nayan is also said to be very comfortable working with Ajith. However she is yet to sign on the documents which are necessary for proper confirmation.

Director Raju Sundaram is away from Chennai involved in choreographing Junior NTR in a Telugu film. The status of heroine will be known once he gets back from his trip. Meanwhile for other support characters, Jayaram and Suman have been approached.

With Billa now in the past, the Ajith - Raju Sundaram project is all set to take off on the 18th of this month in Hong Kong. Having scouted the length and breadth of Indian cinema for the lead lady of this movie, looks like Raju Sundaram has finally settled down to the dusky Bengali bombshell Bipasha Basu, better known for her on and off relationship with Bollywood hunk John Abraham.
Bipasha has been offered this project for an eye-popping paycheck that Tamil heroines haven’t ever heard of. Tamil cinema is not new to her as this bong babe was last seen in an item number opposite Vijay in Sachein.

Ajith and his Beard

Many think that Ajith is growing beard, because his wife Shalini is carrying a child. But there is surprising news about his beard. It is said that the beard is part of the get up for his next film.Ajith is believed to be getting ready for the photo session, which is likely to be held soon. The pooja will be conducted in a grand manner within a couple of months.

It is worth recalling that Ajith was maintaining a long hair when he was booked for Bala’s 'Naan Kadavul'. He did not change the get up even when the film was delayed. In the meantime, he acted in 'Paramasivam' with the long hair, saying that 'Naan Kadavul' was his dream project and hence he could not remove the hair.

There is no surprise, therefore, that the sincere actor is growing beard for his forthcoming film.

on the other sides the over all songs also not satisfing as xpected except the fans.


While Don's Revisited and Chase Begins Again themes were phenominal, the rest of the song seems to be stock tunes from his earlier hit with Director Vishuvardhan (ironically, the one directing this remake) Pattiyal. Time-pass I guess.

remake of rajinikaths movie of the same title starring nayantara,prabhu,namitha and many more leading artist of the kolly wood.

My name is Billa ends up becoming a short remix with some unclear vocals of singer Naveen. It's a track that's still needs time getting used to. For that, we blame MSV. Not for his music, but rather our habitual growth with the SPB tune.

The other two tracks, Naan Muttum (a pale copy of "Yeh Mera Dil" [DON] and Sei, not being the "Aaj Ki Raat" [DON]. Just imagine Sunitha Sarathy or some pop singer with some techno jig and groove and bam, there's your filler tracks.

Sevval Kodi [Maurya Re] is proably the best track I've heard in this album. For that we must thank Vijay Yesudas for giving me the grace of de-grading this review. I'm not sarcastic. Great instrumentals!

With bated breath my favorite song of the 80s Billa was "Vethalaya Pothendi" by Malaysia Vasudevan [Their version of Khaike Paan Banaraswala.] Here's it's all jazzed up with some kuthu-ized percussion and there's your remix. Add in Shankar Mahadevan and subtract the "Vasudevan" out while shooting it in "Malaysia" (pun intended). Again, it's more or less gone the way of the recent Vijay flop movie Azhagiya Tamil Magan's hit track "Ponmagal Vanthaal." This also goes the same for "My Name is Billa."

In the end, Billa 2007 ends up being an average album. In comparison to this remake and Last year's blockbuster in hindi,the latter had some great tunes. Here's it's all re-mixed and re-jazzed instead of the "Stealthness" it Enjoy "Sevval Kodi" and "Theme Music" and forget the rest.
The trailler just rocks asof now.But will it reach the box office.God only knows?
