Ready 4 directors directors cut : Varanam ayiram

Vaaranam Aayiram has hit the screens finally, and the talk among fans and viewers is that it is too long. While the audience enjoyed the song and several moments in the film, they seem to find it a bit more of an emotional drama extending for more than 150 minutes. It's just a few screenings old and now the VA team has cut 15 minutes of the film. One sequence that is trimmed in the new version is Suriya searching for a child in Delhi.

However, it is important to note that though Gautham Menon allowed the producer to cut the film, he still feels it takes away the intensity and the feel from the film. He wishes that the audience could see it as he conceived it. Perhaps if the movie becomes a big hit, it's just possible that the cut fifteen minutes will be restored. Or say, years later, Menon could release it as Vaaranam Aayiram: The Director's Cut.

Jothika joins surya for his next film finally

It is well known that Sivakumar and family have adopted two schools, of which one is in Kancheepuram, under the education trust created by the family. This trust is also engaged in promoting several educational activities. And when the Education Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thangam Thennarasu, put forth a suggestion to the actor to produce a documentary film to encourage school children go to school, the actor was only too willing to do it.

Moreover, the actor’s son, a popular film star in his own right – Surya – along with other well-known actors Vijay and Madhavan have been signed up for the film. Earlier, director K.V. Anand was reported to wield the megaphone but now the mantle has shifted to V. Priya. However, Anand has been retained as the cinematographer.Another important person to join this galaxy of stars is Jyothika. It is worth mentioning here that this star couple – Surya and Jyothika – had earlier acted in a documentary on autism.

1.5 for varanam ayiram

Surya-starrer Varanam Aayiram's shooting was progressing at the Gateway of India, Mumbai, when the most startling accident occurred. It was precisely during a song sequence that involved Surya and Sameera Reddy.

According to reliable sources, the song was filmed by an assistant cameraman with a high-tech camera, costing about Rs. 1.5 crore, fastened to his hip. While the assistant was moving behind the actors canning the shots, he tripped unexpectedly and in the tumult the camera broke to pieces. It is also said that the assistant suffered severe head injuries and was admitted to a hospital. However, everything ended well with shooting resuming a day later with a similar type of camera.

We miss jothika

Jyothika Sadanah now Saravanan or Jo to her family and friends is another diva who came from the North and took the entire southern industry by storm. She is the younger sister of yesteryear actress Nagma. She made her debut in a Hindi film, Doli Sajaa Ke Rakhna, where she was paired opposite Akshay Khanna. Unfortunately the film flopped. In Tamil she was first seen in a small guest role in Vaali opposite Ajith. Her first full-fledged role as a heroine was opposite hubby Surya in Poovellam Kettupar. Her cute, bubbly innocence became her USP, and from there on she never had to look back. She has been one of the few privileged actresses who has worked with all the top heroes of her time, including Superstar Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan. It is noteworthy that the role of “Chandramukhi” was initially offered to Simran (who was unable to do the film), but one that Jyothika went on to make her own. She has worked under all the prestigious banners and directors, never having to compromise in any way or succumb to any kind of pressure to show skin or appear vulgar through the span of her career. This gifted, hard-working and dedicated actress relied only on immense faith and confidence in herself to reach stardom. Her recent films such as Chandramukhi, Mozhi and Pachaikili Muthucharam, won her several accolades, proving she was capable of rendering heavy-duty performances when the script demanded it. Her fans were very upset when she decided to bid farewell to films after her marriage to Surya. She is now a proud mom of a baby girl who is the apple of her eye. Like Simran she might make a comeback - such talent cannot be buried.
