Bommarillu alise santosh suramaniam

Audio of the Jeyam Ravi starrer Santosh Subramaniam is slated to release on Sunday, March 23, 2008 and to give heads up to the media, the actor’s brother and director Raja called in for a media briefing at the Green Park Hotel in Chennai. Raja briefed the media about the remake – SS is the remake of the cult Telugu hit Bommarillu, incidentally directed by Raja’s former assistant director.

Addressing the media, Raja declared that it’s no mean task to remake a movie. “People think it’s as easy as falling of a log to remake movies, but it’s a very difficult task since the movie has already achieved a cult status. It’s like trying to redo a magician’s trick after seeing him perform. Luckily, we have got everything in place and I’m pleased with the output,” Ravi declared.

In his briefing, Jeyam Ravi stated that he plays the guy who leads a double life by being a quiet studious at home and a freak outside. For which, Raja was quick enough to interrupt and warn mockingly at Ravi not to let out the spoilers to the media. Prakashraj plays Ravi’s authoritarian father and the scenes between the two seem to have turned out convincingly well according to Ravi. Genelia retains her lead role for the remake.

Jayam ravi discloses his love

Ten-movie old “Jeyam” Ravi forayed into the film industry with the smash hit Jeyam. The film’s success saw to it that the prefix stuck to his name. Having established himself firmly in the industry, it is now time for him to answer queries about his personal life. The issue that is being raked up by the media time and again is about his marriage. Dispelling all rumors, the actor made it clear that he is not keen on a love marriage. He also indicated that his wedding will be arranged by his parents.

Peraanmai, the movie that he is presently associated with, is being directed by Jagannathan. Playing the role of a forest officer in this film, he said that it is about tribal people living in the mountains. Accentuating his stand that films should espouse good principles, Ravi added that he would focus on such films in the future.

Lucky Jayam Ravi :Naan Avan Illai

We thought Jeevan was the only lucky guy, when Naan Avan Illai had him star with five pretty ladies. But with Perannmai, Ravi’s luck is going up as well.

Director of the 2003 National Award winner Iyarkai, S.P. Jananathan is readying for his next venture. Titled Perannmai, the movie will have Jayam Ravi in the lead. And the lead lady? Well, it’s not lady but ladies. The script requires five female actresses–each with an equally important role as the others. Two-fifths of the search is over with Jananathan picking Navya Nair and Thoothukudi Karthika. He is still on the look out for three more ladies. Wonder who they will be…
