Now the great news is that Sruthi is going to debut opposite Madhavan in an untitled film going to be direct by Nishikant, who already made a film with maddy titled "Evano Oruvan" released this week. its a marathi remake. Well, Surya and Nayanthara acted together for Ghajini, eventhough she is not main heroine of ghajini she had some main lead in the film, now the buzz is that Surya's brother and Paruthiveeran fame Karthi is going to join with Nayanthara for their next film and Director Lingusamy would direct it. Paruthi veeran to ayirathil oruvan

Paruthiveeran Karthi the super actor now working on Selvaraghavan's film Aayirathil Oruvan. Fourty percentage of the shooting was completed in Kerala and the second schedule would be in Rajasthan and the third one would be at Hyderabad Studio. There are going to be 6 songs in the movie, out of that one song from MGR's Aayirathil Oruvan will be used. Another five songs will be composed by Yuvan shankar raja. Reema Sen and Andrea is the female leads. As per the director, more graphics will be used in New "Aayirathil Oruvan".

vellithirai finds problem solution

Prakash Raj, the versatile actor cum tasty producer has faced a problem during his Vellithirai shooting at Chennai. He found his dismay that no exhibitor in Chennai was willing to give him their theatre for shooting of his Vellithirai climax, directed by Viji and featuring Prakash Raj, Pritviraj and Gopika in the lead.

The film is based on the Mohanlal-Sreenivasan classic Udayananu Tharam in Malayalam. In the original, the climax was shot in a cinema theater showing an audience attending the premiere of the hero's film as an independent director.

Finally, Prakash Raj got a theater in Hyderabad with the help of his close friends in Telugu cinema and now, he is busy in completing the climax. Having done that the songs have also been released

Rameshwaram : Review

Rameshwaram the seaport witnesses a passionate love-story.


Plot:
Jeevan (Jeevaa) is a Sri Lankan refugee who has fled from the battlefield of Jaffna. He is one of the refugees under the care of the Tamil Nadu Government, sheltered in the Rameshwaram camp, along with many refugees like him. He arrives at the unknown destination, with no strong connections to fall back on and settles there, looking forward for peace in his shattered life.

Vasanthi (Bhavana), daughter of Lal, owner of the campsite, is a cheerful girl who visits her mother's tomb adjacent to the refugees' camp. During her frequent trips, Vasanthi gets acquainted with Jeevan. Without realizing it, she begins to nurture a deep love for the homeless young man, ready to fill his empty life with her love and company. When Vasanthi voices her feelings to Jeevan, he immediately discourages her, denying his own love for her.

Saravanan (Bose Venkat), a police officer, opposes Vasanthi's love and relationship with Jeevan. Hoping to marry Vasanthi, he keeps the young lovebirds as far from each other as possible. Saravanan displays all his animosity against Jeevan, putting all problems and impediments in his path, with the single ambition to efface his influence from Vasanthi's life.

Consequently, Jeevan and his friends face frequent unwarranted arrests and police remands. On facing this continuous harrassment and burden of false allegations, feeling guilty about bringing trouble to his friends, Jeevan returns to Sri Lanka.

Sudden news about Vasanthi's wedding brings him back. His efforts and patience get rewarded and he unites with Vasanthi.

Jeevaa marvellously portrays the pain, devastation, and identity crisis that boil inside him; his costumes, his gestures and the passive tone he emplys, all summarize his status as a refugee. It is good to see

Comments:
Bhavana filling the frame in traditional, lovely attire. She has done full justice to her role. When she boldly defends Jeevan from Saravanan's interrogation, saying, "He spent the night with me in bed," her impressive performance gets particularly noticed. In spite of all these plus points, the film does not give enough rationalization for the love that blossoms between Vasanthi and Jeevan.


Music by Niru is refreshing and appealing. Story, screenplay and direction are by S. Selvam.

Over all:

Rameshwaram, a touching love-story, will be a milestone in Jeevaa's career.

Lucky Jayam Ravi :Naan Avan Illai

We thought Jeevan was the only lucky guy, when Naan Avan Illai had him star with five pretty ladies. But with Perannmai, Ravi’s luck is going up as well.

Director of the 2003 National Award winner Iyarkai, S.P. Jananathan is readying for his next venture. Titled Perannmai, the movie will have Jayam Ravi in the lead. And the lead lady? Well, it’s not lady but ladies. The script requires five female actresses–each with an equally important role as the others. Two-fifths of the search is over with Jananathan picking Navya Nair and Thoothukudi Karthika. He is still on the look out for three more ladies. Wonder who they will be…

Change in climax:kallori

Balaji Sakthivel has decided to respond to the criticisms on his film positively. He has changed the climax of his film 'Kallori' following some critical comments from the media.

The climax has a gruesome incident in which the bus with three girls was burnt by the goons of a political party in protest of a setback to their leader. The climax scene reminds the infamous Dharmapuri incident in which three girl students were burnt alive along with the bus. The climax also has a court scene following the incident.

Now that the verdict on the Dharmapuri incident has come out, some felt that the court scene becomes irrelevant. Some critics pointed out that the way the girls caught into the bus was not established well in the film.

Balaji has gone through the suggestions carefully and decided to change the climax. He has included a couple of shots to show the girls getting caught. He has also removed the court scene. “Now the climax looks more convincing”, says the director.

Kadhal denies Run

Balaji shakthivael director of movie kadhal has denied the reports suggestion that he is doing a film for director of movie run Lingusamy. “I have been receiving many offers. Shankar sir too has told me to begin a new project. I am yet to decide anything. First I must make the story ready”, Balaji told in the press.

'Kallori', produced by Shankar’s 'S' Pictures, has hit the screens on December 7 and has been receiving moderate response all over Tamil Nadu. While it does well in A centers, it is yet to pick up the momentum in B and C centers. “The film will pick up during Christmas holidays”, said Balaji with confidence.

Viveks pongal

Vivek's first film as hero, 'Solli Adippen', directed by Ramki is ready for release but the film finds few takers.Krishnakanth, who has produced Manmadan, has produced 'Solli Adippen' under the banner of Indian Theatres. The delay, according to the sources, is caused by the problems pertaining to Krishnakanth’s earlier productions. He is not able to release the film without settling those issues.

Vivek, who is expecting the film with eager, is now dejected following the delay in its release. He has even returned the money paid to him as remuneration for the film as a gesture of helping the producer.However, there is a ray of hope for the film. Producers’ council has come forward to help the producer to release the movie. Director Ramki is confident of seeing the movie in the screens by Pongal festival.

This should definitely be great news for Vivek.
